If you're a follower of Heddels you may have seen the feature recently on our new Coverall Jacket.
We're grateful for the review on the Coverall jacket which is new to our collection and looks like to be a main stay, we lined it with Japanese made Blanket lining and made in our LOT 27 organic cottons red line selvedge denim
"...the Lot 29 Blanket Lined Coverall Jacket. Leave it to Dawson to craft a highly considered reproduction of a classic – they’ve been doing it for over 10 years now and each time they expand their offering it just gets more exciting."
A made-to-order jacket that we've been wanting to add to our collection for a long time: the Blanket Lined Coverall jacket. This new style features a Japanese Blanket lining, similar to those used in the Golden Age of American workwear, and an Italian corduroy collar for added comfort.
We drew inspiration for this jacket from the classic period of US coverall design from the 1930s to the 1950s. We kept the silhouette of our classic Sack Jacket, but we developed the fit by following key features of period-correct pattern cutting. We also moved the shoulder and side seams backwards to capture the key features of oversized lined lower pockets from this golden era. The jacket includes a flapped brass press stud top pocket, a multi-opening top pocket with a lining and pen holder, and a secret internal pocket.
One of the key features of this jacket is its weight: it's made from 14.25oz Organic Cotton Red Line Selvedge, which we use throughout our new collection and is easy to pair with our LOT 29 jeans. This is one heavy-weight jacket that you don't want to miss.
"Aside from the top-drawer fabrics, Dawson has you covered with these classic, 4-pocket coverall details: Contrast stitching throughout, bar tack reinforcements, button-adjusting cuffs, rivet reinforcements, triple-needle stitching, reinforcing shoulder and back yokes, a Dawson Denim tag, pocket watch buttonhole, and a pen pocket on the left chest. The fit is roomy but not sloppy, designed to accommodate layers like vintage workwear examples."
