An Arcuate is a moniker used to describe a particular embroidery used on the back pockets of jeans. It actually means something that’s curved or a sweeping arch. Originally used back in the 1890’s when an embroidery would be used on the back pockets of pants to denote the retailer. We believe this to be one of the earliest forms of branding for use on clothing.
After much deliberation we came up with our design that would encompass our Dawson Denim logo, originally inspired by the purposeful cheese head screw. We rocked the logo on the diagonal and used the top edge to configure a couple of rows of stitching, all of which is sewn by hand and eye by us.
